Enter cloud automation, a new solution that’s spicing up the playing field. However, cloud automation is only in its beginning stages, and many entrepreneurs are wondering if the cloud’s few concerns overshadow its benefits. 

Is it time for the cloud to become automated? Or is it just a pipe dream meant for a later era?

Cloud automation is a broad term that encompasses a variety of techniques and methods. In its simplest form, automation of the cloud involves providing software to make utilizing the cloud and multiple platforms easier without the dependency on human interactions. 

The point is to create a smooth experience that reduces redundant workloads and increases IT control. Automation may involve changes to configurations and settings, management functions or actions to comply with regulations.

The Many Advantages of Automation :

Automation makes life easier on many fronts. It speeds up delivery of new codes and ensures they run correctly, all while minimizing labor and simplifying once-tedious tasks. 

On top of that, it boasts several other benefits:

  • Creates ideal marketing
  • Betters support services
  • Increases production

Automation offers a high amount of control to IT teams, letting them easily modify information through created templates. This offers endless opportunities for optimizing services, and testing alterations have become a piece of cake. After all, automated technology can allow changes to be reverted back to their original state if something goes wrong—all without human interference.

Considerations :

But not everyone is on board with cloud automation. Some entrepreneurs are wary of depending on the cloud too much because of security concerns and regulations. 

Then there is the fact that automation is in its infancy. Saudi Arabia’s AI robot Sophie might be a new competitor but she has a long way to go before she can duplicate human intuition. 

Simply put, automation can’t replace some roles yet, and the ingenuity created from human curiosity and experiences can’t be replicated, meaning comprehending patterns and analyzing them fully is left to real people.

Why the Time Is Ripe :

Yet even with these limitations, companies are investing in cloud automation now. The cloud offers convenience and low costs, and automation provides the means for expansion, as seen in companies like Netflix and Amazon. 

Businesses use multiple clouds for their daily functions, and a convenient all-in-one cloud based platform coupled with automation is exactly what corporations need to get ahead. And since it’s estimated 83% of enterprise workloads will be on the cloud by 2020, companies need these advancements now. 

A managing partner of Launch Haus, Chris J. Snook states, “Automation is the future. The development of the cloud allows you to stitch together all of your cloud applications–from email to CRM–something that was unfathomable merely 10 years ago.”

But it’s certainly fathomable now, and full-out automation is within eyesight.
